About Me
Dan is a lifelong automotive enthusiast and one of the co‑founders of the Southeastern Virginia Mustang Corner Carvers. Alongside fellow co‑founder Wayne Williams, he helped establish the club after recognizing a clear gap in the Mustang community on the Peninsula side of Hampton Roads. What began as a simple observation quickly revealed a shared sentiment among local owners: there was a need for a dedicated, energetic, and community‑driven Mustang group. Dan stepped in to help build exactly that.
Beyond his work with the club, Dan leads a life rooted in the things he loves most — spending time with his wife and dogs, unwinding over a game of billiards, riding motorcycles, and enjoying motorsports in general. His passion for the Mustang runs deep, shaped by decades of driving, modifying, and exploring what the platform can become.
Why Do You Like Mustangs?
Dan’s love for the Mustang comes from what the car represents to him: freedom, personality, and the thrill of shaping a machine into exactly what you want it to be. He’s always gravitated toward cars that feel alive on a backroad — quick, capable, and confident — and the Mustang has delivered that feeling every time.
His journey started with a 1997 Cobra, moved to a 2001 Cobra, and today continues with a 2024 Dark Horse. Each one has carried its own story, its own quirks, and its own grin‑inducing moments behind the wheel. Whether he’s out exploring quiet Virginia roads or leaning into a weekend track session, the Mustang has always been the car that feels like home.

About Me
Wayne Williams’ passion for Ford began in the 1980s, sparked by watching Bill Elliott dominate the track in a Ford Thunderbird. That early excitement grew into a lifelong admiration for the brand — and a dream of owning a Mustang someday. Over the years, he came close more than once: a green ’68 Mustang he fell in love with but couldn’t buy, and later, a dealership visit in 2020 where a Mustang he hoped to purchase was sidelined by a brake recall. Life kept moving, and each time, the timing just wasn’t right.
But Wayne never let go of the dream. In 2022, he read about a future Mustang called the Dark Horse and made himself a promise: that would be the one. More than two decades after first imagining himself behind the wheel of a Mustang, he finally made it happen in February 2024. Today, Wayne proudly serves as Vice President of the SEVA Mustang Club, helping build a welcoming, energetic community for enthusiasts across Southeastern Virginia. His journey is a reminder that some dreams are worth waiting for — and that the right car can make every mile feel like a victory lap.

For Wayne, the Mustang represents more than performance or heritage — it’s the fulfillment of a dream that started when he first laid eyes on that green ’68 as a teenager. The Mustang has always symbolized possibility, independence, and the thrill of driving something with real personality. Every near‑miss over the years only strengthened his connection to the car and the community around it.
Owning his Dark Horse isn’t just about horsepower or styling. It’s about finally experiencing the car he spent decades imagining — the one that carried him through childhood hopes, adult responsibilities, and the long wait in between. Every time he gets behind the wheel, he’s reminded of why the Mustang captured his heart in the first place, and why it continues to inspire him as both an enthusiast and a leader within the SEVA Mustang Club.
