Spring Backroads & Ferry Cruise to Redd’s Filling Station

  • Yorktown Kroger 5007 Victory Boulevard Yorktown, VA, 23693 United States (map)

Fellow Corner Carvers! Southeastern Virginia gives us plenty of straight, congested, construction‑filled roads that do nothing for the joy of driving a Mustang. This cruise is built to be the opposite. We’re taking the scenic route—avoiding highways as much as possible—and carving through the best backroads from Yorktown to Williamsburg, across the James River on the Jamestown–Scotland Ferry, and into the quiet rural sweepers of Surry and Windsor. Follow on the Facebook Event, SEVA MCC Spring Backroads & Ferry Cruise to Redd’s Filling Station, for up-to-date details!

This is a unique cruise experience: a full Mustang convoy boarding the ferry together before continuing to one of the region’s best lunch spots, Redd’s Filling Station.

Planned Route from Yorktown Kroger to Redd’s Filling Station in Windsor.

📅 Schedule

8:00 AM — Meet at Kroger

5007 Victory Blvd, Yorktown, VA 23693

Arrive early, fuel up, grab coffee, and enjoy the Mustangs rolling in. This gives everyone time to stage and get organized before departure.

8:45 AM — Cruise Departure

We’ll roll out as a group and head toward Williamsburg via US‑60 and the Colonial Parkway. From there, we continue directly to the Jamestown–Scotland Ferry for a scenic James River crossing.

~10:00 AM — Jamestown–Scotland Ferry

We are targeting the 10:00 AM ferry to keep the convoy together and maintain a smooth schedule. The ferry is free and runs every 30 minutes.

12:15–12:30 PM — Arrival at Redd’s Filling Station

20 W Windsor Blvd, Windsor, VA 23487

A great spot to wrap up the cruise with food, conversation, and photos.
